Every medal, insignia, and rank on Edward Allworth's World War I Army uniform is in the right place.

Waters' portrait of Major Edward Allworth was commissioned by Oregon Percent for Art and the Oregon Department of Veteran's Affairs for the Edward Allworth Veteran's Home in Lebanon, Oregon. Allworth was a Medal of Honor Recipient in World War 1. After distinguishing himself in war, he returned to Oregon and was the Director of the Oregon State University Memorial Union for over 30 years.

November 5-6, 2011 - The 18th Annual Sitka Art Invitational will take place in Miller Hall at the World Forestry Center in Portland, OR (near the Oregon Zoo).
